Cappitech, a specialised fintech boutique, faced the intricate and evolving challenges of transaction reporting in the financial industry. With regulatory demands intensifying and compliance costs rising, there was a pressing need for a system that not only ensured compliance but also added business value beyond the regulatory checkboxes.

THE SOLUTION

Our solution departed from traditional back-office systems, instead drawing inspiration from client-facing technologies. We developed the front-end of a dashboard that provided a comprehensive audit trail, facilitating reporting and regulation monitoring through a singular touchpoint. This innovative dashboard was designed for clarity, allowing for effortless interpretation of trade execution risks and market spread comparisons.

The platform, hosted on the cloud for flexible onsite customisation, showcased high-capacity transaction reporting with robust resilience and security features. We also crafted an interactive reporting tool that empowered users to delve into and manage potential trading risks.

I joined the project in its second phase, contributing my expertise to enhance the product’s features in line with the company’s growth and evolving client needs. One of my key contributions was designing the ‘Insight’ section, enabling institutions and individuals to evaluate their trade performance against market averages. I worked on developing an industry-recognised grading system uniquely tailored by Cappitech, establishing a new financial compliance and performance analysis standard.
